The children of today are the leaders of tomorrow. Safeguarding their health and well-being should be of paramount importance.

First in the East Midlands

Children’s services in Leicester hospitals are amongst the busiest in the country yet the East Midlands is the only region in England without a dedicated, single-site children’s hospital.

We need your support to progress to the initial phase of the project.

Our target of £650,000 (by the end of July 2020) will help achieve:

High Dependency Unit

HDUs are for children requiring more intensive observation, treatment and nursing care than is possible in a general ward, but slightly less than that
given in intensive care.

Isolation Rooms

The PICU Isolation room is where very sick and poorly
children can be offered the very best of care.

Outpatients Area

If you have been referred to hospital but do not need to stay overnight,
it means you’re being treated as an outpatient or a day case..

100% of funds raised will be utilised for the development of the HDU ward.
