DOC Attended First Ever National Dawah Convention

Last month, Drop of Compassion was privileged to join the first-ever National Dawah Convention by iERA. Over 300 attendees came together, including scholars and Muslim professionals from nearly 100 organisations across the UK.

They all shared one goal: to revive the prophetic mission of calling people to Allah.

“And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, ‘Indeed, I am of the Muslims.’”
(Qur’an 41:33)

DOC’s Role at the Convention

Our trustee, Irfan, showcased Drop of Compassion’s work at the convention. As an official exhibitor, we highlighted our sustainable projects in Malawi. Project like Empowerment with Zakat, Sustainable living, Goat Project, Planting fruit trees, Honey farming. These projects improve lives by providing clean water, education, and community development.

Our work does not only meet basic needs. It also opens doors for Dawah, helping communities grow stronger and more self-sufficient. Relief and dawah go hand in hand, working together for the greater good.

The Prophet ﷺ said: “Convey from me, even if it is one verse.”
(Bukhari)

Drop of Compassion’s mission is rooted in this prophetic reminder. Every project, from digging wells to supporting orphans, is a chance to share something greater. It is a Drop of Compassion that guides people back to Allah.

Why This Convention Matters for the Dawah

The National Dawah Convention was a historic event. It brought together a wide network of Community leaders and organisations with a shared vision from all over the UK.

The event was geared towards learning, collaboration, and unity. It showed that Dawah is a collective mission for the Ummah, not just a few individuals or organisations.

For Drop of Compassion, the convention was a chance to connect with a wider audience. We shared our work and explored potential collaborations. The positive feedback we received confirmed that our approach is unique and important for the work of Dawah.

A Step Forward Together in Dawah

We thank Allah for allowing us to participate, iERA for organising the event, and everyone who visited our stall.

At Drop of Compassion, we are committed to building projects that meet urgent needs and bring people closer to Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”
(Tabarani)

By working together, we can create lasting change. Aid organisations and the Dawah organisations, local communities and international partners, can all play a part in this noble cause.

The National Dawah Convention showed us the power of combining relief and dawah. Together, we can help communities not just survive but thrive in faith and resilience.
